The Calamosca Hotel is a hospitality structure including a hotel , a restaurant, a pizzeria, an ice-cream parlor and a kiosk on the beach.

The “Calamosca Sul Mare Srl” is the company owner of the hotel facility and also owner of the land where the building is located is now in liquidation. This situation is of absolute privilege and infrequent in Sardinia as well as for the the rest of Italian coasts.

The property stretches as far as the beach including more than half of Calamosca Bay.

The remaining part of the bay consists of rocks overhanging the sea and the area is environmental protected so new constructions are not allowed.

The ship shaped building was built in 1958 and over the years various renovations were made.

It is the unique hotel in Cagliari truly overhanging the sea, this situation is impossible to realize today, but now a new regional law gives to hospitality structures the possibility to realize an enlargment in the amount of 25% of existing volumetric dimensions.

The ice-cream parlor called “Le Terrazze di Calamosca”, realized in 2004, consists of a series of terraces overlooking the sea and a lawn with a gazebo , is a perfect location for weddings or parties.
